CT SCAN

A computerized tomography (CT) scan combines a series of X-ray images taken from different angles around your body and uses computer processing to create cross-sectional images (slices) of the bones, blood vessels and soft tissues inside your body. CT scan images provide more-detailed information than plain X-rays do
NUCLEAR CARDIOLOGY

Nuclear cardiology studies use noninvasive techniques to assess myocardial blood flow, evaluate the pumping function of the heart, as well as visualize the size and location of a heart attack.
Our stress test assesses the regional blood flow to the heart muscle both at stress and at rest. By comparing the two images, we can determine if there was prior damage to the heart or if there is a lack of blood flow to the heart during exercise.
For high-resolution cardiac studies, we utilize a dual-headed cardiac gamma camera, which reduces scanning time for increased patient comfort.
ULTRASOUNDS

Ultrasound is a safe, radiation-free imaging procedure that utilizes echoes of sound waves to visualize soft tissue and fluids in the body. It is particularly good in examining the organs in the abdomen and pelvis (liver, gall bladder, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, bladder, uterus, ovaries and testicles). It is also used to evaluate fetal development, certain breast conditions and the thyroid gland.A modified ultrasound technique, known as Doppler, captures moving blood images of the heart and large blood vessels. All ultrasound services are accredited by the American College of Radiology.
DIAGNOSTIC RADIOGRAPHY

Radiography (X-ray) is a simple and painless procedure that allows our radiologist to analyze the bony and soft tissue anatomy for diagnosis. In addition to bones and joints, X-rays are particularly good for looking at the chest, lungs, stomach and intestines. Our radiological equipment is held to the highest standards of quality control and assurance. A staff of caring, highly trained radiographic technologists, licensed by the State of New York, performs all procedures.
ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY

An echocardiogram uses sound waves to produce images of the heart as it is beating. The test enables us to evaluate the size, thickness and movement of heart structures, assess blood flow, and determine valve function of the heart. The painless test is similar to an x-ray, but without the radiation. Instead, it uses ultrasound to capture pictures of the four heart chambers and the four heart valves. Because the test involves no radiation, it's extremely safe.
